A driver's track —
carved into a hillside
The Algarve International Circuit opened in October 2008 and earned an FIA Grade 1 licence on first inspection. Fifteen corners, twenty-four metres of elevation change, and a layout that rolls and dips through the hills above Portimão. Drivers describe it as one of the most demanding modern circuits on the calendar — the kind of track that punishes the careless and rewards bravery on the brake.

Hamilton, 2020
The day Hamilton
passed Schumacher
The 2020 Portuguese Grand Prix was Lewis Hamilton's 92nd career win — the one that took him past Michael Schumacher's all-time record. He came back from fourth on the opening lap, found grip nobody else could, and won by more than twenty-five seconds. The track was new to the calendar. The history was instant.
He won here again in 2021 — his 97th. This was always a Hamilton track. In 2027 the world's best return to find out who it belongs to next.

Frequently asked
questions
When exactly is the 2027 Portuguese Grand Prix?
The exact date hasn't been published yet. Formula 1 confirmed Portimão's return on 16 December 2025 as part of a two-year deal across 2027 and 2028. The full FIA calendar — and with it the precise weekend — is expected mid-2026. Joining the priority list means you're contacted the moment it lands, before public sales open.
Is there any commitment to join the priority list?
None. The priority list reserves your right of first refusal — nothing more. When the date is confirmed, we contact you with full pricing and availability. You decide whether to convert. No deposit until you say yes.
What seats am I getting?
A three-day reserved trackside grandstand ticket — Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Specific grandstand details are released by the circuit closer to the event and confirmed in writing ahead of your booking agreement.
Which London airport, and how long is the flight?
Return scheduled flights from London to Faro — typically under three hours each way. The departure airport (Heathrow, Gatwick or Stansted) is confirmed alongside the booking based on schedule and group size.
Can I bring more than one guest?
Yes — packages are held in pairs by default and we regularly accommodate small groups of four to eight. Larger groups, corporate parties and bespoke arrangements are handled directly by your Above + Beyond representative.
Why book through Above + Beyond instead of directly?
Trackside-grandstand allocations and hotel rooms in Portimão during a race week sell out within hours of release. We hold inventory in advance, build the package around it, and put a host on the ground for the weekend — flights, transfers, hotel and grandstand co-ordinated as one. You arrive, we handle the rest.
